Postdoctoral Scholar: BioGenome Project: Join Arizona State University’s Earth BioGenome Project (EBP) to conduct groundbreaking research on genome evolution and biodiversity genomics. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with renowned researchers at ASU and contribute to the analysis of chromosome-scale assemblies for various vertebrate species.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Recent Ph.D. (within the past four years) in genetics, genomics, evolutionary biology, or a related discipline
  • Expertise in comparative genomics, evolutionary genetics, systematics, population genetics, and/or bioinformatics
  • Experience publishing in topics such as comparative genomics, genome evolution, conservation genetics, population genetics, molecular systematics, or landscape genomics

Job Description:

  • Obtain specimens for DNA sequencing from field biologists and organism collections
  • Implement the EBP-recommended pipeline for genomic analysis
  • Analyze and interpret large genomic datasets using statistical approaches
  • Coordinate research activities with international centers and institutes
  • Prepare reports, academic presentations, and manuscripts for publication
  • Assist with research budgets, project planning, and long-term data management
  • Supervise student lab assistants
