Eligibility/Qualification
- Ph.D. in Ecology, Evolutionary Biology, or related field (completed within the last 5 years).
- Prior experience working with small passerine birds, including mist netting and blood sampling.
- Proficiency in R programming and handling large datasets.
- Ability and preference for working in physically demanding montane conditions, including experience in winter conditions (skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling).
Job Description
The selected candidate will work in a long-term study of food-caching behaviors in mountain chickadees. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting year-round fieldwork.
- Engaging in data analysis and research publication.
- Collaborating with a team in challenging montane environments.
