Eligibility/Qualification
- Required Degree: Ph.D. in Plant Biology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, Ecology, Breeding, Bioengineering, Computational Biology, Soil Science, or a related discipline.
Job Description
The successful candidates will focus on the following key areas:
- Structural–functional modeling of root system architecture.
- Phenomics data integration and high-dimensional trait analysis.
- Predictive breeding and quantitative genetic modeling.
- Machine learning approaches related to genotype–phenotype–environment interactions.
- Scaling root traits to agroecosystem processes.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading high-impact research aligned with the lab’s mission.
- Publishing in leading peer-reviewed journals.
- Collaborating across disciplines and institutions.
- Mentoring graduate and undergraduate students, as well as technical staff.
- Developing fellowship and independent funding proposals.
