Eligibility/Qualification:
- Ph.D. in Physics, Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Completion of a doctoral degree within the five years immediately preceding the first date of appointment.
- No previous positions held in the professional ranks.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will be involved in:
- Design, execution, and analysis of experiments using high-intensity, ultrafast laser systems at major national and international user facilities.
- Contributing to the development and execution of complex laboratory experiments.
- Conducting quantitative analysis of experimental data.
- Preference for candidates with experience in high-intensity lasers, ultrafast optics, or high-energy-density laboratory plasmas.
- Familiarity with plasma diagnostics and large experimental facility operation is desirable.
- Programming experience for data acquisition, analysis, or modeling (e.g., Python, MATLAB, Julia) is a plus.
