Job Description:
The Postdoctoral Scholar will lead characterization efforts of radiation damage in GaN and related materials using state-of-the-art microscopy techniques, including:
- 4D Scanning Transmission Electron Microscopy (STEM)
- High-resolution Electron Energy Loss Spectroscopy (EELS)
- Correlative Atom Probe Tomography (APT) and STEM
The role includes working under the mentorship of Prof. Xing Wang and Prof. Mia Jin, contributing to understanding the fundamental mechanisms governing wide bandgap device behavior in various challenging radiation environments, such as those in nuclear reactors and space.
