Postdoctoral Scientist in Plant Nanotechnology: The Institute of Plant Genetics, Polish Academy of Sciences, Poznań, Poland, is seeking a Postdoctoral Scientist to join the Plant Nanotechnology Department. The successful candidate will participate in the SONATA 17 project, focusing on chemical science and plant nanotechnology, funded by the National Science Centre, Poland. The position offers a gross monthly salary of approximately 8,300 PLN and full-time employment for 12-24 months.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD degree in Chemical Science, Nanotechnology, or related disciplines.
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills in English.
  • Knowledge of basic biophysical techniques, chemical synthesis, biocatalysis, enzyme kinetics, protein stability studies, synthesis, and characterization of ionic liquids and nanocomposites, and molecular docking.
    Job Description:
    As a Postdoctoral Scientist, you will:
  • Conduct high-quality scientific research in the area of plant nanotechnology.
  • Participate in the SONATA 17 project, focusing on encapsulation of enzymes in biopolymer-based nanocontainers, structure-property relationship studies, and validation of efficacy of nanoconfined enzymes in tandem biocatalysis.
  • Train students and visitors, prepare high-impact scientific articles for publication, and draft progress reports.
