Eligibility/Qualification:
- Ph.D. in Bioengineering, Chemical Biology, Neuroscience, or a related field.
- Significant experience in protein engineering (rational design, directed evolution, computational design).
- Proficiency in molecular biology techniques (cloning, AAV handling) and cell culture testing (HEK cells, primary neuron culture).
- Familiarity with biochemical assays, animal testing, imaging, and data analysis.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to work independently and collaboratively.
Job Description:
The selected candidate will:
- Engage in high-throughput screening assays and design activity-dependent labeling enzymes.
- Validate and apply tools in mice, collaborating with both labs.
- Participate in research environments involving techniques like calcium imaging, optogenetics, and single-cell RNA sequencing.
- Contribute to the development of technologies for modulating neural circuits and studying behaviors related to the body-brain axis.
