Eligibility/Qualification
- PhD in Cell Biology, Developmental Biology, Biochemistry, or a related subject.
- Experience in Drosophila husbandry and genetics is preferred, or experience with another model organism.
- Proficiency in immunofluorescence labeling and confocal analysis.
- For one of the positions, experience in coding with Python or Matlab is desirable.
Job Description
In this role, you will lead a project investigating the role of actomyosin assemblies and cytoskeletal crosstalk during the tube formation of the salivary glands in the Drosophila embryo. Key responsibilities include:
- Understanding the assembly, specific components, and dynamic behavior of supracellular actomyosin cables.
- Investigating the role of microtubule cytoskeleton in tissue bending during tube formation.
- Utilizing advanced imaging techniques, quantitative analysis, and genetic approaches as part of a collaborative research team.
