Eligibility/Qualification

  • PhD in Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, or a closely related discipline.
  • Experience in planning synthetic routes and completing multi-step syntheses for a variety of target small molecules.
  • Knowledge of medicinal chemistry and structure-based drug design.
  • Ability to operate and maintain synthetic laboratory equipment.
  • Capacity to conduct or learn associated skills such as computational docking and biophysical assays.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive a high-impact research program on medicinal chemistry against telomeric cancer targets.
  • Conduct small molecule synthesis, structure-based analogue design, structure-activity relationship (SAR) studies, and target engagement assays.
  • Lead and mentor junior research students, including laboratory supervision, project design, and skills development.
  • Support research through writing manuscripts, grant applications, and presenting at conferences.
  • Manage ongoing partnerships with academic and industry collaborators.
  • Coordinate laboratory administrative tasks, including equipment maintenance and lab organization.
