Eligibility/Qualification
- PhD in Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, or a closely related discipline.
- Experience in planning synthetic routes and completing multi-step syntheses for a variety of target small molecules.
- Knowledge of medicinal chemistry and structure-based drug design.
- Ability to operate and maintain synthetic laboratory equipment.
- Capacity to conduct or learn associated skills such as computational docking and biophysical assays.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive a high-impact research program on medicinal chemistry against telomeric cancer targets.
- Conduct small molecule synthesis, structure-based analogue design, structure-activity relationship (SAR) studies, and target engagement assays.
- Lead and mentor junior research students, including laboratory supervision, project design, and skills development.
- Support research through writing manuscripts, grant applications, and presenting at conferences.
- Manage ongoing partnerships with academic and industry collaborators.
- Coordinate laboratory administrative tasks, including equipment maintenance and lab organization.
