Postdoctoral Teaching Fellowship: Providence College’s Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry is seeking applications for a Postdoctoral Teaching Fellowship in organic chemistry. Postdoctoral Teaching Fellowship – Department of Chemistry/Biochemistry

Designation: Research Associate (Postdoctoral Teaching Fellowship)

Research Area: Organic Chemistry, with a focus on the development of asymmetric methods for synthesizing atropisomeric heterocycles.

Location: Providence College, Providence, RI

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Ph.D. in Chemistry or related field.

  • Background in asymmetric synthesis and/or catalysis is encouraged.

Job Description: The successful candidate will mentor undergraduates in the Mulcahy lab, teach 1-2 courses per semester in organic chemistry or other areas of need, and engage in research on asymmetric methods for synthesizing atropisomeric heterocycles. The position is initially funded until April 30, 2025, with expected continuation funding through July 31, 2026.
