Postdoctoral Teaching Position: The Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Teaching Position at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Department of Political Science (GSI). This full-time position, starting on April 1, 2024, for a duration of 6 months, is based at the Chair of Political Systems and European Integration under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Klaus H. Goetz.

Designation: Postdoctoral Teaching Position

Research Area: Political Science, with a focus on Comparative Politics and/or European Studies

Location: Munich, Germany

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Completed doctorate in Political Science or Social Sciences by the appointment date
  • Teaching experience in Political Science
  • Preferably expertise in Comparative Politics and/or European Studies

Job Description:

Postdoktorandenstelle in der Lehre (Postdoctoral Teaching Position)

The Postdoctoral Teaching Position responsibilities include:

  1. Conducting two to three BA or MA seminars during the Summer Semester 2024, preferably in Comparative Politics and/or European Studies.
  2. Welcoming collaboration on ongoing research projects but not mandatory.
  3. Contributing to an inclusive, constructive, and supportive working environment.
  4. The position is remunerated at grades TV-L E13.
  5. Courses can be conducted in German or English.
  6. Relocation to Munich is not mandatory.
  7. Reusing existing course material, if suitable.
