Postdoctoral Training Fellow – Chemistry: The Institute of Cancer Research is seeking a Postdoctoral Training Fellow in In Silico Medicinal Chemistry to support and accelerate drug discovery projects through innovative computational chemistry methods. This position is in collaboration with leading researchers within the Division of Cancer Therapeutics.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD in computational chemistry or a related field.
  • Candidates nearing completion of their PhD may apply but must confirm the awarded PhD within 6 months of employment.
  • A wide-ranging knowledge and experience in computational chemistry methods is required.
  • Total postdoctoral experience (including previous employment) should not exceed 7 years as per ICR’s workforce agreement.

Job Description:
The successful candidate will:

  • Collaborate with in-house experts in chemistry, biology, biological assays, structural chemistry, structural biology, DMPK, and bioinformatics.
  • Participate in all stages of drug discovery from early target validation and chemical hit finding to lead optimisation and candidate selection.
  • Work under the guidance of Dr. Andrea Scarpino within a dynamic and supportive research environment.
