Postdoctoral – Ultrafast Spectroscopy and Photochemistry: The Kudisch Lab at Florida State University seeks a talented postdoctoral researcher to join a dynamic team in Tallahassee, FL, specializing in advanced spectroscopic techniques and photochemistry. This role will involve developing and applying ultrafast time-resolved spectroscopy to explore the photophysical properties of new photocatalysts. Researchers with an interest in quantum information science applications to chemical reactivity are encouraged to apply. Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Ph.D. in Chemistry, Physics, or a closely related field.
  • Expertise in at least one of the following: inorganic photochemistry, photoredox catalysis, time-resolved spectroscopy, nonlinear optics, or magneto-optical spectroscopy.
  • Strong record of scientific contributions demonstrated through first-author publications, conference presentations, or other recognitions.

Job Description:
The selected candidate will:

  • Lead and independently manage a research project focused on ultrafast spectroscopy and photocatalysis.
  • Collaborate with and mentor graduate and undergraduate students.
  • Contribute to research funding efforts, including assisting in grant proposals.
  • Present research findings through publications and conference presentations.
  • Engage in collaborative research activities within the Kudisch Lab.
