Eligibility/Qualification:
- Min. education level: Master’s degree in Biology or related fields (awarded prior to the starting date).
- Skills: Willingness to learn, teamwork, passion for fieldwork and/or insects, basic statistical analysis, good English communication skills, and a B driving license.
Job Description:
PhD Position in Biodiversity of European Woodlands
- Conduct research on the impact of disturbances connected to climate change, globalization, and management changes on European forests.
- Employ a multi-taxa approach with a focus on insects.
- Participate in fieldwork, data analysis, and paper writing.
- Receive training in woodland ecology, conservation, community ecology, and statistical modeling.
- Enroll in a 4-year PhD program at the University of South Bohemia.
