Predoc Scientist Positions:The University of Klagenfurt is inviting applications for up to four Predoc Scientist positions within the newly established Karl Popper Kolleg, focusing on innovative research in drone technology for smart agriculture. University of Klagenfurt, Austria (Alps-Adriatic region)

Eligibility/Qualification

  • Completed Master’s or Diploma degree in Electrical Engineering, Information and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields (must be fulfilled by September 17, 2025).
  • Proven knowledge and experience in:
  • Mobile robotics
  • Wireless communications
  • Sensing
  • Signal processing for communications
  • Machine learning
  • Programming skills in at least one of the following languages: Matlab, C/C++, Java, Python, ROS, or similar.
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken).

Job Description

  • Conduct independent research and work towards acquiring a Doctoral Degree in Technical Sciences.
  • Publish peer-reviewed research findings in academic journals and conference proceedings.
  • Collaborate within a team and mentor students.
  • Actively participate in public relations activities related to the graduate school.
