Job Description
The selected candidate will carry out doctoral-level research within the Functional Biology of GTPases Group. The research focuses on fundamental cellular processes such as cell growth, cell division, and regulation by the actin cytoskeleton and GTPases.
The group employs a wide range of experimental approaches, including:
- Fluorescence microscopy
- Genetics and molecular biology
- Biochemistry
- Proteomics and whole-genome analysis
Research will be conducted using the unicellular eukaryotic model organism Schizosaccharomyces pombe, which enables efficient and evolutionarily relevant studies of conserved cellular mechanisms.
