Scholarship Description:
Predoctoral Researcher – Cell Biology with an Interest in Machine Learning
The successful candidate will conduct their doctoral thesis on the characterization of small molecules in cellular models, focusing on cancer cell lines and organoids. Additionally, the candidate will develop machine learning skills to create predictive algorithms using the collected data. The project involves collaboration with experimental synthetic chemists, cancer biologists, and oncologists to drive innovative drug discovery.
Eligibility:
- Master’s in biosciences (cancer, biomedicine, biotech, biology, human genetics)
- Programming skills (preferred)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good command of the English language
- Laboratory experience and familiarity with techniques such as confocal microscopy, advanced cell culture, and RNA Seq are valued.
- Interest in machine learning and programming skills (e.g., Python) are desirable.
