Research Area
The selected candidate will engage with the “UNderstanding Lipid ImmunoMetabolIsm To trEat Disease” (UNLIMITED) project, focusing on how fatty acid oxidation in macrophages influences metabolic and functional programming in homeostasis and disease settings.

Eligibility/Qualification
Mandatory Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in biomedical or health sciences, biophysics, bioengineering, or related fields.
- Master’s degree in biomedicine, health sciences, or related areas.
- Acceptance/enrollment in a doctoral program at the time of contract formalization.
- No more than 4 years of previous predoctoral contract.
- Must not hold a Doctoral degree from any university.
- Resided outside Spain for more than 12 months in the last 36 months.
Valuable Requirements:
- Scientific and technical contributions (publications, research stays, etc.).
- Experience in biochemistry, molecular biology, flow cytometry, and animal experimentation.
- International research stays.
- Strong academic performance in relevant fields.
Job Description
- Conduct doctoral research on fatty acid oxidation manipulation in tissue macrophages.
