  • Faculty of Humanities: Arts, history, culture, education, environment, law, business, social sciences, languages, and linguistics.
  • Faculty of Science and Engineering: Engineering, natural sciences, computer science, environmental sciences, materials science, physics, and mathematics.

Job Description:
Successful PDS Award holders will:

  • Receive funding for doctoral studies with a £1,000 stipend enhancement.
  • Attend exclusive events with University leadership and network with peers and faculty.
  • Engage in extensive research training and skills development programs.
  • Serve as ambassadors for the University, embodying the values of world-class research, outstanding learning, and social responsibility.
  • Participate in advanced training sessions in leadership, public engagement, and commercialisation.
  • Gain experience managing University-funded initiatives to develop valuable transferable skills in collaboration, organisation, and negotiation.
  • Have the opportunity to present their work at the Postgraduate Summer Research Showcase.
