Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD in social sciences, policy, economics, environmental studies, or related fields.
  • Exceptional research skills and methodological expertise.
  • Strong background in analyzing literature, designing surveys, conducting interviews, and working with quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Mixed-methods expertise is advantageous.
  • Specialized skills in NVivo, SPSS, Stata, R, or Python preferred.
  • Interest and competency in building sciences, energy efficiency, renewables, climate change mitigation, and related areas.

Job Description:

  • Investigate and address non-technical barriers to low-carbon building transitions.
  • Utilize mixed qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Conduct literature reviews, surveys, interviews, focus groups, and data analysis.
  • Lead day-to-day research activities.
  • Collaborate with an advisory committee.
  • Based at Boston University’s Institute for Global Sustainability.
