About- Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST), Mohali (Punjab) is an autonomous research institution under the aegis of Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, focusing on R&D of specific areas in Nano Science and Technology leading to new phenomena, processes, products and devices.
Research Area: Life Sciences / Biomedical Sciences/ Chemistry/ Physics/ Biomedical-engineering or a relevant field
Location: Mohali, Punjab
Eligibility/Qualification:
Essential Qualification: Post graduate degree including the integrated PG degree in life Sciences / Biomedical Sciences/ Chemistry/ Physics/ Biomedical-engineering or a relevant field.
Desirable Experience: In-vitro and In-Vivo cell and animal studies; Drug Delivery, Basic molecular-biology techniques; Peptide synthesis; Bio-sensing, Biomaterials & 3D Printing Skills. PhD degree in the relevant disciplines.
Age limit: Must not be over 35 years as on 20/04/2026, which is relaxable for certain reserved categories as per rules of Government of India.

Applications are invited from highly motivated and bright candidates for engagement of Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) in the research project funded by ‘ICMR, Government of India at Institute of Nano Science and Technology, Mohali.
Title of the Research Project: “Rapid Development and Preclinical Evaluation of a PeptideInfused 3D- Printed Bioadaptive Mouthpiece for Oral Mucositis in Cancer Patients Undergoing Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy: Accelerating Bench-to-Bedside Translation”
Principal Investigator: Dr. Jiban Jyoti Panda, Scientist E (Associate Professor)

Fellowship: Rs. 56,000/- p.m. + 20% HRA

Duration: Initially one year and may be extended based on performance of the candidate and availability of funds.
General Terms and Conditions:
- The position is purely temporary and on contractual basis and renewable each year subject to satisfactory performance for a maximum of three years/till the completion of the project whichever is earlier.
