About- Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST), Mohali (Punjab) is an autonomous research institution under the aegis of Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, focusing on R&D of specific areas in Nano Science and Technology leading to new phenomena, processes, products and devices.

Research Area: Biomedical Sciences/ Chemical Sciences/ Life Sciences/ Health Sciences/ Nanotechnology/Nanoscience

Location: Mohali, Punjab

Eligibility/Qualification:

Essential: PhD in Biomedical Sciences/ Chemical Sciences/ Life Sciences/ Health Sciences/ Nanotechnology/Nanoscience.

Desirable Experience: 

For Position-1: 

• working experience along with publications with Spinal cord Injury model and Peripheral Nerve Injury model is compulsory
• Publications as a first author in the field of Spinal cord Injury model and Peripheral Nerve Injury model, working experience in Cell culture, Molecular Biology techniques such as PCR, ELISA, Western Blotting, Flow Cytometry. 

 For Position-2:

• Working experience in developing Skin-patch and microfluidic device or Biosensor for disease biomarker detection or working experience in developing small animal model of Sepsis. 
• Working experience in Cell culture, Molecular Biology techniques such as PCR, ELISA, Western Blotting, Flow Cytometry.

Age limit: Must not be over 40 years as on 16 May 2026, which is relaxable for certain reserved categories as per rules of Government of India.

‘ICMR’ funded project at Institute of Nano Science and Technology

Applications are invited from highly motivated and bright candidates for engagement of Project Research Scientist-II (Non-Medical) in the research project funded by ‘ICMR, Government of India at Institute of Nano Science and Technology, Mohali.

Title of the Research Project: Bioelectronic material for Precise Neuromodulation in Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation

Principal Investigator: Dr Rehan Khan, Scientist-E (PI at INST, Mohali)

Name of the position available: Project Research Scientist-II (Non-Medical)

Number of positions available: 02 (Position-1 and Position-2) Qualifications: 

Fellowship: Rs. 67,000/- pm + HRA @ 10%

Last date of receipt of application: 16 May 2026

Mode of Interview: Hybrid mode (Online/Offline)

Duration: Initially 6 months and may be extended based on performance of the candidate and availability of funds.

General Terms and Conditions: 

• The position is purely temporary and on contractual basis and renewable each year subject to satisfactory performance for a maximum of one year / till the completion of the project whichever is earlier.
