THSTI, Faridabad, India, invites applications for Project Scientist Positions from eligible and interested candidates
Research/Job Area- Any branch of Life Sciences
The positions are associated with the following research projects:
- Optimized salicylamide derivatives and prodrugs for the treatment of influenza infections
- Development of therapeutic broadly neutralizing monoclonal antibodies against circulating HIV-1 Clade C in children and adults
- Effects of extreme heat on maternal, placental and fetal physiology, lactation and newborn health in India
These projects are conducted across specialized research centers such as the Centre for Drug Discovery, Immunobiology, Microbial Research, and Maternal & Child Health at THSTI.

Eligibility/Qualification–
1. Project Research Scientist-II (Synthetic Organic Chemist)
Essential Qualification
- PhD in Organic Chemistry from a recognized university
- Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in synthetic organic chemistry
Desirable
- Experience in industrial/biotech setup
- Expertise in photochemistry, electrochemistry, or organometallic chemistry
Age Limit: 40 years
2. Project Assistant
Essential Qualification
- B.Sc. or DMLT in any branch of Science from a recognized university
Desirable
- Experience in cell culture, molecular biology, and BSL-2 laboratory
Age Limit: 50 years
3. Senior Technical Assistant
Essential Qualification
- Master’s degree in any field with 3 years relevant experience
OR - B.Sc./BMLT with 5 years relevant experience

Job description–
BRIC-Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI), an institute under the Biotechnology Research and Innovation Council and the Department of Biotechnology, has announced walk-in recruitment for multiple project-based positions including Project Research Scientist-II, Project Assistant, and Senior Technical Assistant. These positions are offered under different research projects focusing on drug discovery, HIV monoclonal antibodies, and maternal & newborn health. Eligible candidates can attend the walk-in interview on 16–17 March 2026 at the institute campus in Faridabad.

Project Research Scientist-II
- Conduct synthetic organic chemistry research in a time-bound project.
- Work at the Centre for Drug Discovery (CDD) on drug design and synthesis.
- Perform advanced chemical synthesis related to antiviral drug development.
Project Assistant
- Perform basic molecular biology techniques such as DNA purification and electrophoresis.
- Maintain cell lines and laboratory reagents.
- Support routine laboratory activities and inventory management.
Senior Technical Assistant
- Follow Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) including sterilization and cell culture techniques.
- Handle clinical samples including PBMC and DNA isolation from blood.
- Maintain laboratory documentation, records, and inventory.
- Assist with procurement of laboratory reagents and equipment.
