- Designation 1: Project Research Scientist-II
- Research Area: Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Immunology, Animal Handling, and Mycobacterial Research.
 
- Designation 2: Project Research Scientist-I
- Research Area: Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Immunology, and BSL-3 Mycobacterial Studies.

Eligibility/Qualification–
For Project Research Scientist-II (2 Posts)
- Essential Qualification:
- Postgraduate Degree (including integrated PG degree) in Life Sciences from a recognized university with at least three (3) years of post-qualification experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, animal handling, and immunology, with at least one (1) research article in a peer-reviewed PubMed-indexed journal.
 OR
- Ph.D. in Life Sciences from a recognized university with at least one (1) research article in a peer-reviewed PubMed-indexed journal, and experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, animal handling, and immunology.
 
- Postgraduate Degree (including integrated PG degree) in Life Sciences from a recognized university with at least three (3) years of post-qualification experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, animal handling, and immunology, with at least one (1) research article in a peer-reviewed PubMed-indexed journal.
- Desirable Qualification:
- Prior experience of working with Mycobacterium in a BSL-3 facility.
 
For Project Research Scientist-I (2 Posts)
- Essential Qualification:
- Postgraduate Degree (including integrated PG degree) in Life Sciences from a recognized university with experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, animal handling, and immunology supported by research publication(s) or project thesis.
 
- Desirable Qualification:
- Prior experience of working with Mycobacterium in a BSL-3 facility.
 
Job description–
Biotechnology Research and Innovation Council – Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (BRIC–THSTI), an autonomous institute under the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, invites applications for the positions of Project Research Scientist-II and Project Research Scientist-I. These positions are part of the BRAIN-TB Project, led by Drs. Ramandeep Singh and Nisheeth Agarwal, focusing on understanding bacterial regulators aiding tuberculosis infection in the central nervous system.
The selected candidates will join a dynamic research environment within the NCR Biotech Science Cluster, Faridabad, contributing to innovative translational research and multidisciplinary collaborations aimed at improving human health.

For Project Research Scientist-II
- Preparation of recombinant plasmids.
- Culturing and maintenance of Mycobacterium tuberculosis strains.
- Conducting biochemical, immunological, and cell-based assays.
- Infection studies using cell lines and/or animals with M. tuberculosis in the BSL-3 laboratory.
For Project Research Scientist-I
- Preparation of recombinant plasmids.
- Preparation and culturing of Mycobacterium tuberculosis strains in the BSL-3 laboratory.
- Setting up biochemical, immunological, and cell-based assays.
