1. Project Scientist‑I (Adult Sepsis Project)
- Essential Qualification:
- Ph.D. in any branch of Life Sciences from a recognized university.
- Desirable Qualifications / Experience:
- Proficiency in bioinformatics analyses for:
- Metagenomes
- Whole genomes (including using nanopore sequencing)
- Nanostring data analysis
- Strong wet lab experience.

- Essential Qualification:
- Post Graduate Degree in Life Sciences, including integrated PG degree, from a recognized university.
- Desirable Qualifications / Experience:
- At least one first‑author publication in a PubMed‑indexed journal.
- Expertise in:
- Molecular biology
- Microbiology
- Tissue culture work
- Familiarity with:
- Animal handling
- Protein purification
- Biophysical assays
Job description–
BRIC-Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI), an institute under the Biotechnology Research and Innovation Council (BRIC), Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, invites online applications for short‑term project positions. The positions are in cutting‑edge translational research projects related to adult sepsis and Mycobacterium tuberculosis, located at the NCR Biotech Science Cluster, Faridabad. The roles involve advanced laboratory research, data analysis, and coordination with clinical and research teams.

- Title: Targeted host genes-response profiling for EARLY diagnosis (prior to clinical symptoms) and segregation of adult sepsis cases into bacterial, viral and fungal‑mediated, for targeted therapy – A pilot study
- PI: Dr. Krishnamohan Atmakuri
- Broad Area: Early diagnosis of adult sepsis, host gene response profiling, bioinformatics and Nanostring-based analyses.

- Title: Exploring leucine metabolism pathway for development of novel interventions and vaccine against Mycobacterium tuberculosis
- PI: Dr. Ramandeep Singh
- Broad Area: Tuberculosis research, leucine metabolism, vaccine and novel intervention development.

1. Project Scientist‑I
- Oversee and coordinate activities of the adult sepsis project.
- Coordinate with the clinical team for:
- Sample enrolment and sample collection
- RNA extraction and quality control of RNA
- Perform Nanostring experiments and subsequent data analyses.
- Compile and present data for reports, meetings, and other project documentation.
- Required skills: strong wet-lab skills, bioinformatics capability (metagenomics, whole-genome, Nanostring), project coordination, and data handling.
2. Project Research Scientist‑I
- Conduct experimental work related to leucine metabolism in Mycobacterium tuberculosis for development of novel interventions and vaccine strategies.
- Perform molecular biology and microbiology experiments, including tissue culture.
- Handle animals for experimental work as required by the project.
- Undertake protein purification and biophysical assays to characterize proteins and interactions.
- Required skills: strong molecular biology and microbiology skills, experience with tissue culture, basic animal handling, protein purification and biophysical analysis, along with a strong publication track record (first‑author paper desirable).
- These are short‑term project positions; extension depends on:
- Satisfactory performance, and
- Continuation/tenure of the project.
There is no claim for regularisation of employment.
- All educational, professional, and technical qualifications must be from recognized Boards/Universities.
- Required experience must be post the minimum essential qualification.
