Eligibility/Qualification:
- Completed scientific university degree (diploma, master’s degree, or comparable) and a doctorate in natural sciences
- Experience with eukaryotic model systems
- Profound knowledge in recombinant protein production and protein purification
- Initial practical experience with structural biology methods (e.g., small-angle X-ray scattering, X-ray crystallography, electron microscopy) is beneficial
- Disposition to own scientific qualification is expected
Job Description:
- Conduct scientific services in research and teaching
- Develop new and innovative research fields in the specified areas
- Research molecular mechanisms of stress adaptation with a focus on regulatory nucleotides
- Engage in independent scientific research for further qualification aimed at achieving habilitation or an equivalent qualification necessary for a professorship
- The position is initially fixed for 4 years, with the possibility of extension after successful evaluation
