Research Area

The programme focuses on advanced algorithms, quantum error-correcting codes, qubit hardware platforms, quantum communications, and quantum network architectures.

Eligibility/Qualification

  • A Master’s level qualification in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Chemistry, Materials Science, or Engineering.
  • A Bachelor’s degree at first-class honours (or equivalent) with significant relevant experience may also be considered.
  • Strong interest in quantum computation and communications.

Description

This PhD programme provides extensive training across the quantum computation and communications spectrum. The Intensive Training Programme (ITP) includes both foundational skills and opportunities for specialization through research projects. Students will benefit from a collaborative research environment and networking opportunities within the burgeoning quantum technology sector. Graduates will be well-prepared for careers in both academic and industrial research.
