Eligibility/QualificationBachelor’s degree in Analytical Chemistry or a related technical field with a minimum of 5 years of industry experience. A master’s or Ph.D. is preferred.

Job Description

  • Provide knowledgeable insights and leadership in the analysis of a broad range of raw materials and products using Gas and Liquid Chromatography and high-resolution accurate mass (HRAM) spectrometry.
  • Drive R&D projects, support raw material evaluations, and manufacturing quality projects in a high throughput lab environment.
  • Conduct unknown identification, in-process reaction analysis, known material quantitation, and polymer separations.
  • Develop new methods for sample preparation and analysis, complete analyses, and report results.
  • Utilize scientific methods and critical thinking/problem solving techniques.
  • Maintain detailed records and organize incoming samples and lab space.
  • Actively participate in the site and lab safety process, establishing new safe lab practices as required.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional team members to meet project targets and deadlines.
  • Communicate results and new ideas effectively through reports, tables, and charts.

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated independent thought leadership and practical familiarity with Gas and Liquid Chromatography, HRAM analyses.
  • Experience in method validation and analytical work required for food contact compliance.
  • Strong analytical capability for new method development.
  • Experience working in a chemical laboratory, including handling and mixing chemicals safely.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
