- Good knowledge of ecotoxicology, ecological risk assessment, or environmental chemistry.
- Strong interest in academic and/or project-based research and services.
- Good teaching and communication skills.
- Degree requirement must be fulfilled at the start of the appointment.
Job Description
The position involves a combination of research and teaching responsibilities, including:
- Conducting academic research leading to a doctoral dissertation on the ecotoxicity and ecological risk assessment of chemical mixtures in the water cycle.
- Assisting in teaching activities for courses such as Environmental Risk Assessment, Emerging Topics and Current Practice in Environmental Risk Assessment, and Metals and Metalloids in the Environment and Technology.
- Providing support in internal and external departmental services.
- Guiding students with their bachelor projects, master’s dissertations, and internships.
The position will be supervised by Prof. Karel De Schamphelaere and is expected to start around September/October.
