Eligibility/Qualification:

Job Description:
This position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively within the Newcastle University Centre for Cancer in the Biosciences Institute, which hosts a large network of mitochondrial geneticists and cancer biologists. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and carrying out research projects using a variety of experimental techniques, including mtDNA editing, in vivo imaging, histology/immunofluorescence, and spatial profiling.
- Analyzing research findings and assessing the need for further investigations.
- Contributing to grant applications and developing personal research proposals.
- Presenting research findings at conferences and writing manuscripts for publication.
- Engaging in collaborative projects, supervising students, and contributing to public outreach activities.
