Research Assistant / Associate (Fixed Term): Join Dr. Valeria Lulla’s research group at the Department of Pathology, Addenbrooke’s campus, as a Research Assistant/Associate. Conduct groundbreaking research focused on human intestinal pathogens progressing to central nervous system infections. This Wellcome Trust-funded position offers an exciting opportunity to integrate organoid infection models and molecular virology methods with high-throughput imaging and sequencing techniques.

Location: Department of Pathology, Addenbrooke’s Campus, Cambridge, UK

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD or expect to obtain one shortly
  • Strong track record in RNA/protein molecular biology
  • Experience in virology, biochemistry, and biosafety level 2 material handling is advantageous

Job Description: The Research Assistant/Associate will integrate organoid infection models and molecular virology methods with high-throughput imaging and sequencing techniques. Duties include developing research objectives, preparing results for publication, mentoring students, delivering seminars, acquiring new skills, and maintaining accurate experiment records.
