Eligibility/Qualification
- Essential: An Honors degree in a relevant subject or close to submission of a PhD (for Assistant level).
- Desirable: A PhD in a relevant area (required for Associate level).
- Experience in oocyte cell culture, mammalian oocyte quality assessment, and imaging techniques is essential.
Job Description
As a Research Assistant/Associate, you will:
- Support project aims focused on monitoring regulatory proteins during meiosis I cell division in mouse oocytes.
- Harvest, culture, and apply various imaging and micromanipulation techniques.
- Contribute to the development of novel imaging approaches and micromanipulation techniques.
- Work collaboratively within a vibrant interdisciplinary team and with external collaborators.
- Supervise undergraduate and MRes project students.
- Present research findings at lab meetings and a national conference.
Key Accountabilities:
- Contribute ideas and enhancements to technical or methodological aspects of studies.
- Develop and carry out specified projects.
- Write proposals for research funding.
- Assess research findings and contribute to publications.
