Eligibility/Qualification

  • Completed university studies in life sciences, preferably with a focus on cell biology.
  • Familiarity with fluorescence microscopy and techniques in cell biology, molecular biology, and biochemistry.
  • Interest in high-content analysis, bioinformatics, and clinical neurosciences.
  • Strong English language skills and excellent computer skills.
  • High level of independence and motivation to establish new techniques.

Description

As a Research Assistant/Doctoral Student, you will:

  • Utilize human induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSC) for neuron generation and brain organoid models.
  • Investigate relationships between circadian rhythms, mitochondrial biology, cell death mechanisms, energy metabolism, and autophagy.
  • Collaborate internationally, particularly with the Buchan Lab at the University of Oxford.
