Research Assistant in Computational Solid Mechanics Scholarship
The Research Assistant will work on developing finite element models for complex thermomechanical processes and their surrogate approximation using machine learning. The research will focus on additive manufacturing and predicting the fatigue life of steels. The candidate will be enrolled in a PhD program and conduct their dissertation at IMDEA, gaining exposure to Statistics, Mathematics, Programming, and Machine Learning.
Eligibility: Candidates should hold an MSc in Engineering, Material Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics with strong analytical skills. Proficiency in spoken and written English and programming experience in C++ and/or Python is required.
