Eligibility/Qualification

  • Completed degree in Physics, Chemistry, or Materials Science (or equivalent)
  • Doctorate (PhD) in one of the above fields with good to very good results
  • Strong research experience in:
    • Deposition and characterization of low-dimensional nanomaterials
    • Ideally, experience with aerosol jet printing or related technologies
  • Additional advantages:
    • Knowledge in surface acoustic waves (SAW)
    • Experience in applying for third-party funding/grants
  • Strong English communication skills (spoken and written)

Job Description

  • Research in deposition of nanomaterials using IFW’s proprietary aerosol printing technology
  • Preparation of printable nanomaterial dispersions
  • Spectroscopic, microscopic, and structural characterization of deposited nanomaterial layers
  • Process optimization to maintain optical, structural, and electronic properties of nanomaterials
  • Collaborative work with international and interdisciplinary research teams
