Research Associate (Chemistry): The University of York invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position in the Department of Chemistry. This role will focus on the application of Amine Dehydrogenase enzymes in the generation of pharmaceutically relevant intermediates.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- An undergraduate degree and PhD in Chemistry or an equivalent field.
- Strong knowledge in organic synthesis and analysis with a mastery of various research techniques and methodologies.
- Extensive skills in synthetic organic chemistry, including analysis of small organic molecules utilizing NMR spectroscopy.
- Experience in enzyme production and biocatalytic reactions is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to high-quality research.
- Proven ability to develop research objectives, plan and prioritize work, and conduct both individual and collaborative projects.
Job Description:
The Research Associate will:
- Conduct research under the supervision of Professor Gideon Grogan and Dr. William Unsworth.
- Contribute to research focusing on Amine Dehydrogenase enzymes for pharmaceutical applications.
- Assist in the identification and development of potential research areas and proposals.
- Provide guidance to staff and students; coordinate the work of small research teams and supervise undergraduate projects.
