Summary
The Crossley Lab at the world-leading Cancer Research UK (CRUK) Cambridge Institute is recruiting an enthusiastic and collaborative Postdoctoral Researcher to help uncover the mechanisms by which RNA-DNA hybrids contribute to human disease and how these pathways can be exploited for cancer diagnosis and treatment. This is a fixed-term position supported by long-term funding from Cancer Research UK and the Wellcome Trust.

- Background can be experimental, computational, or a combination of both.
Job Description
As a Research Associate in the Crossley Group, you will help shape a research programme aligned with your expertise and interests. Projects within the lab span:
- Genome biology of pathological R-loops and their impact on genome stability in cancer and neurodegeneration.
- Cytoplasmic RNA-DNA hybrids and their role in innate immune signalling.
- Extracellular RNA-DNA hybrid release and communication between cells.
- Genomics and computational approaches to study RNA-DNA hybrids in cellular and patient-derived samples.
You will have opportunities to develop and apply cutting-edge approaches including long-read sequencing, proteomics, quantitative imaging, and functional genomics, with strong support for publications, fellowship applications, and career development.
