Eligibility/Qualification
- Candidates should hold (or be near to completion) a PhD, EngD, or equivalent in chemical engineering, chemistry, or a related discipline.
Job Description
The successful candidate will:
- Participate in the demonstration and optimisation of a novel microwave catalytic reactor to upgrade plastics pyrolysis oils.
- Conduct advanced materials characterisation techniques including dielectric measurements.
- Engage in the development of sustainable catalysts and support reaction modelling to benchmark microwave processes.
- Collaborate with teams from various universities and organisations while maintaining high standards of laboratory safety.
- Communicate research findings through publications, project reports, and presentations at conferences.
- Support undergraduate and postgraduate students within this research area.
Training and support will be provided, with a strong emphasis on developing both technical and transferable skills.
