Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD in Biological/Biomedical Sciences (or close to obtaining one).
- Significant experience in cancer biology, immunology, and/or cell senescence.
- Proficiency in managing mouse models and procedures.
- Experience in spatial multiplexed imaging, multiomics analyses, generation of organoids, and/or computational skills is a plus.
- International training and/or connections with the research industry are desirable.
- Original publications in peer-reviewed journals will be positively considered.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will explore the impact of a senescent microenvironment and the modulation of the immune system in lung carcinogenesis. The research includes:
- Investigating dynamic changes during natural ageing.
- Utilizing cellular cancer models, genetically-engineered animal models of lung cancer, and primary human tissue samples.
- Identifying new therapeutic targets and developing novel treatment modalities for tumour eradication.
- Translating novel tools into early-phase clinical trials.
The laboratory provides access to state-of-the-art research equipment and clinical facilities, fostering collaborations with world-class scientists and clinicians.
