Research Associate-Fixed Term: Michigan State University invites applications for a Research Associate-Fixed Term position at the Water and Life Interface Institute (WALII). The successful candidate will contribute to Theme 2 of the WALII project, focusing on understanding dehydration and desiccation tolerance in Arabidopsis at molecular, cellular, and organismal levels.

Eligibility/Qualification: The ideal candidate should possess a Ph.D. in molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, genetics, or bioengineering. A proven track record of research productivity and independence is required.

Job Description: The responsibilities include leading independent research, preparing publications, and presenting findings at scientific meetings. The candidate will apply microscopy, genetics, and physiology techniques to investigate dehydration and desiccation tolerance in Arabidopsis. Collaboration with team members, contribution to lab-wide chores, and active participation in virtual WALII activities are integral to the role.
