Research Associate in Adversarial Learning: The School of Computer Science and Engineering at UNSW is offering an exciting opportunity for a Research Associate to engage in groundbreaking research on adversarial models and their applications in defence. This full-time position will involve both independent and collaborative research aimed at enhancing situational understanding through multimodal foundational models.

Eligibility/Qualification:

| Education | PhD (or soon to be awarded) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related area. |
| Experience | Demonstrated experience in AI and cybersecurity, particularly in adversarial attacks and defense strategies. |
| Publications | Proven track record of publications in top-rated journals and conferences. |
| Research Independence | Ability to conduct independent research with limited supervision. |
| Teamwork | Experience working collaboratively across disciplines and with diverse stakeholders. |
| Supervision | Ability to supervise undergraduate students or equivalent experience. |
| Communication | Strong interpersonal skills. |
Job Description:
- Conduct independent and collaborative research on adversarial models.
- Develop and evaluate models for robustness and security.
- Propose effective methodologies for defending against adversarial attacks.
- Contribute to writing scientific papers and reports for international journals.
- Participate in conferences and workshops.
- Supervise higher degree research (HDR) students and collaborate with industry partners.
