Eligibility/Qualification:
- A postgraduate research degree (or equivalent professional qualification) in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Significant professional experience in the required area may also be considered.
- Research experience in experimental aerodynamics and aerodynamics measurements.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Matlab or similar.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will perform aerodynamic and aeroacoustic tests on pitching aerofoils using national wind tunnel facilities. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting research on high-instrumented aerofoils under various flow conditions.
- Utilizing flow measurement techniques, including hotwire, PIV, and remote sensing, to analyze flow fields.
- Characterizing noise from pitching aerofoils using large microphone and beamforming arrays.
- Collaborating with research partners at Queen Mary University of London and the University of Cambridge.
- Preparing reports and presentations for project meetings and publishing in leading international journals.
- Attending international conferences to present research findings.
