Research Associate in Immunology: The University of Glasgow’s College of Medical, Veterinary and Life Sciences is seeking a skilled Research Associate to join the exciting new Gut Translational Research Group. This position focuses on exploring the role of host danger associated molecular patterns (DAMPs) in driving inflammation related to Inflammatory Bowel Diseases, in collaboration with the Scottish-wide MUSIC IBD study.

Eligibility/Qualifications:
- A PhD in Immunology, Molecular Biology, or related field.
- Strong laboratory experience in immunological research.
- Experience in molecular data handling, including single-cell and spatial biology.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Professor Gwo-tzer Ho and contribute to a multidisciplinary team focusing on:
- Investigating DAMPs-mediated inflammation and the cGAS-STING immune signaling pathway.
- Utilizing novel human in vitro platforms with IBD gut stem cells and immune cells.
- Analyzing multi-omic datasets in relation to IBD mechanisms and patient-centric outcomes.
- Contributing to reports, research publications, and grant proposals.
- Offering opportunities for career development, including support for fellowship applications.
This position is full-time and funded for up to 3 years from the start date.
