Research Associate in Inflammation Research: The University of Manchester is seeking a highly motivated post-doctoral research scientist to join a dynamic research team focused on studying the regulation of the NLRP3 inflammasome, with the aim of identifying novel strategies to target inflammation.

Research Area:
The focus of this position is on inflammation research, particularly NLRP3-dependent inflammation, which is implicated in various diseases.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • A PhD (or expected shortly) in cell biology, immunology, or a related field, ideally with neuroscience experience.
  • Strong technical skills in cell and molecular biology, microscopy, flow cytometry.
  • Experience working with murine models, preferably models of inflammation.

Job Description:

  • Conduct research on the regulation of the NLRP3 inflammasome.
  • Collaborate with labs led by Prof. David Brough, Prof. Martin Lowe, and Prof. Kevin Couper.
  • Employ and develop techniques in molecular biology and microscopy.
  • Participate in our training program spanning all areas of the project.
