Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Hold a PhD in Biophysics, Physical Chemistry, Cell/Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, or equivalent.
  • Extensive demonstrable experience in mechanobiology with mastery of relevant techniques.
  • Proficiency in programming skills/quantitative approaches.
  • Experience in student supervision, grant writing, and project design.
  • Familiarity with light microscopy techniques (confocal/spinning disk/superresolution) microscopy.

Job Description: As a Research Associate, you will:

This is a full-time position (35 hours per week) with a fixed-term contract from 01/08/2024 to 02/11/2025 (subject to lab refurbishment completion).

Note: Candidates who have submitted their PhD thesis and are awaiting award will be considered for the role of Research Assistant (Grade 5, spine point 30). Upon PhD confirmation, the job title will become Research Associate (Grade 6) with a corresponding salary increase.
