Research Associate in Molecular Biophysics: Join the molecular biophysics group led by Dr. Katherine Stott at the Department of Biochemistry, University of Cambridge, to explore DNA and chromatin condensation by linker histone proteins. Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Candidates should hold a PhD in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biophysics, or a related subject.
  • High skill levels in at least two of the following:
  • Molecular Biology
  • Molecular Biophysics
  • Structural Biology (solution- or solid-state NMR, or Cryo-EM)

Job Description:

The role holder will:

  • Work collaboratively with a team of postdocs and students while leading their segment of the project.
  • Demonstrate a high level of engagement and aptitude to learn new techniques (full training provided).
  • Have an interest in intrinsically disordered proteins, condensates, and/or chromatin biology (advantageous but not essential).
  • Collaborate regularly with experts in solid-state NMR, SAXS, and polymer physics.
  • Engage with facilities for solution-state NMR and Cryo-EM, contributing to a rich research environment.
