Eligibility/Qualification
- Ph.D. or Postdoctoral experience in Cellular Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, or related fields.
- Experience in biomedical research, particularly with laboratory rodents, is an asset.
- Proficiency in English and French, especially in written communication.
Job Description
The Research Associate will be responsible for:
- Developing and adjusting experimental protocols using flow cytometry.
- Purifying blood cells, analyzing animal tissues and cells via confocal microscopy and immunohistochemistry.
- Conducting protein analysis through western blots and RNA extraction with real-time PCR.
- Planning and executing independent experiments and data analyses on supervised topics.
- Managing scientific projects to ensure timely progress and drafting interim and final reports for stakeholders.
- Collaborating with laboratory personnel and external partners, contributing to preclinical efficacy study protocols.
- Using data analysis software for experimental data interpretation and statistical analysis.
- Training new students in cell culture techniques and enzymatic testing.
- Maintaining mouse colonies and ordering necessary experimental materials.
- Overseeing laboratory equipment maintenance and shared spaces as well as controlling expenses.
