Eligibility/Qualification:
- A university degree (Diplom/Master) in Biophysics, Biotechnology, Physics, or Biology.
- Experience with experimental work and coding.
- Strong interest in interdisciplinary research at the interface of physics and cell biology.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Effective communication skills, high motivation, and ability to work in a team.
Job Description:
- Conduct research on cellular shape regulation in epithelial layers through distinct surface tensions, using methods such as cell culture, advanced fluorescence microscopy, atomic force microscopy, and complex image analysis.
- Write scientific manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
- Perform detailed literature searches and compile interim reports.
- Participate in professional conferences to present research findings.
- Contribute to applications for third-party funding.
The position entails 65% of the full-time weekly hours and offers a chance to obtain a PhD. Employment will commence on February 1, 2025, and the position is limited until January 31, 2028, with a possibility of extension.
