Research Area:
Focus on Trustworthy AI, specifically in the following areas:
- Ethical and Safe Generative AI (fairness, inclusiveness, robustness, hallucination and toxicity mitigation, alignment)
- Multilingual and Multicultural AI
- Multimodality, Agentic AI, and Multi-Agent Systems
- Model Interpretability and Explainability

Eligibility/Qualification:
- Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing, Computational Linguistics, Linguistics, or a relevant field
- Relevant publication record in top-tier conferences/journals
- Proficiency in machine learning, natural language processing, and Python (experience with AI frameworks such as Transformers is a plus)
- Very good English proficiency; basic proficiency in German is an asset
- Teaching and supervision experience is advantageous
Job Description:
The role includes but is not limited to:
- Teaching duties of 4 * 45-minute sessions per week (4 LVS)
- Conducting independent research aligned with the group’s focus on trustworthy AI
- Mentoring Ph.D. students and contributing to academic service tasks
- Producing high-quality publications in international venues (e.g., ACL, EMNLP, AAAI)
- Actively participating in a dynamic, diverse community committed to ethical AI practice.
