Eligibility / Qualification

  • Doctoral degree in Physics, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • Essential experience in:
  • Working in gloveboxes.
  • Thin film deposition.
  • Fabrication and characterization of optoelectronic devices (LEDs, solar cells, transistors, etc.).
  • Desired:
  • Experience with solution-processed semiconductors (e.g., metal halide perovskites, colloidal nanocrystals).
  • Understanding of optoelectronic device physics.
  • Programming and data visualization skills (preferably using Python).
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.

Job Description
The successful candidate will join the research group of Jun.-Prof. Dr. Simon Kahmann and will be responsible for:

  • Establishing a pipeline for the fabrication of light-emitting diodes using spin-coating and thermal evaporation processes under inert conditions.
  • Fabricating and testing light-emitting diodes based on novel materials; developing models for device operational mechanisms.
  • Acting as device manager for angle-dependent photo-/electroluminescence setup.
  • Collaborating closely with team members focused on material synthesis and other aspects of optoelectronic devices.
  • Actively participating in group activities and outreach projects.
