Eligibility/Qualification
- Essential:
- A successfully completed university degree (Master, Diploma, or equivalent)
- A PhD in Chemistry, Physics, or a related subject
- Comprehensive knowledge in colloid and polymer chemistry
- Experience with scattering methods for the characterization of colloidal systems
- Strong background in physical and analytical chemistry and the physics of materials
- Desirable:
- Knowledge of nanostructured systems
- Proficiency in English (very good knowledge required)
- Good command of German and/or French is an advantage
Job Description
As part of a collaboration with the Institute Laue-Langevin (ILL) in Grenoble, this 3-year postdoc position involves:
- Conducting independent and high-quality research on colloidal systems
- Investigating the effects of electric fields or pressure on these systems
- Gaining a thorough understanding of the thermodynamics, kinetics, and structure of colloidal systems
- Contributing to user support and instrument development, particularly in small-angle neutron scattering (SANS)
- Regular collaboration with researchers across multiple institutes within the international research campus
Salary: Salary grade E13 according to the TV-L Berliner Hochschulen. Full-time employment is expected, with part-time options available.
