Research Associate/Postdoc (all genders): The Thiele Group at the Department of Chemistry at Technical University of Darmstadt is seeking a Research Associate/Postdoc (all genders) to join their team. The position is available immediately and is a fixed-term contract ending on 30 June 2024. The research project, conducted within the framework of CRC1194, involves using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and localized spectroscopy to investigate the composition and evaporation behavior of liquid mixtures on solid surfaces. The applicant should have a degree in chemistry or physics, including a relevant doctorate, along with mechanical skills, excellent knowledge in NMR spectroscopy, and ideally, knowledge in MRI. Additional programming skills and experience in droplet evaporation or fluid mechanics would be advantageous.

Eligibility/Qualification:

Job Description: The Research Associate/Postdoc will work on the CRC1194 project, conducting research using MRI and localized spectroscopy to investigate the composition and evaporation behavior of liquid mixtures on solid surfaces. Duties will include supervising students in organic chemistry, assisting in research and teaching, and working on service projects. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to their scientific qualifications.
