Eligibility / Qualification

  • Essential:
  • A PhD in quantum physics focusing on quantum metrology, mathematical optimization, or quantum error correction.
  • Expertise in vector spaces, linear algebra, and quantum information theory.
  • Experience in writing manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals.
  • Effective communication skills (both written and verbal) and experience in delivering presentations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an appreciation of long-term implications.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with fellow researchers.
  • Organizational skills to assess resources, plan, and progress work activities.
  • Desirable:
  • Understanding of convex optimization theory.
  • Familiarity with mathematical optimization formulations of quantum state estimations.
  • Knowledge of important families of quantum error correction codes and classical codes.

Job Description

As a Research Associate, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing and analyzing quantum error correction protocols for quantum sensing.
  • Modeling physical imperfections using quantum channels.
  • Applying specialized quantum error correction codes for quantum sensing.
  • Collaborating closely with colleagues and supervising junior researchers.
  • Preparing reports, writing manuscripts, and presenting findings at scientific meetings.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant literature and planning your research activities effectively.
